> Perceptron Solutions is an AI consulting firm based in Vancouver, Canada. Not AI for the sake of AI — the focus is optimized, data-driven decision making: quantitative algorithms and deep learning applied to complex, high-volume data, translated into clear visualizations.

## Founder

Pavan Mirla: deep learning specialist (time series modeling, transformer-based architectures) and agentic workflow designer. Formerly a quantitative analyst at CPP Investment Board (~$500B AUM), leading the John Hancock Innovation Lab (2014), and later a forward deployment engineer at DataRobot. Independent consultant since 2019, working with hedge funds on signals, quantitative research, and regime/factor detection — with prior experience at Cisco Systems, Manulife Asset Management, and John Hancock Asset Management.

- Investment Research & Portfolio Construction: ML, statistical analysis, NLP, and agentic systems for quantitative modeling, macro analysis, and alpha/data sourcing (including EDGAR/SEC filings).
- Upskilling Workshops for Asset Management: hands-on training for investment managers and analysts in AI agents, Python ML/statistics, GitHub, and Unix fundamentals, plus an advanced module on Claude and OpenAI agent frameworks (tool use, MCP, function calling, multi-agent orchestration, custom skills/plugins) applied to quant and investment research.
- Compliance Tools for External Communications: private, on-premise screening of outbound communications against thousands of rules, with anomaly flagging and recommendations, and a supervised feedback loop (approved outcomes → controlled rule/model updates → validated version → deterministic output).
- Agentic Trading Platform: an isolated, fully agentic trading system on private GPU infrastructure with natural-language control of Interactive Brokers via a custom skill that improves through reviewed-task feedback, monitoring markets 24/7 with real-time Telegram alerts.

## Social Impact

Early-stage, mission-driven pilots (not commercial products): accessible calculus/math instruction adapted for dyslexic learners, and private on-premise (local Dell server + GPU) talking-head video generation — turning a child's own headshot and a controlled voice into a video of them speaking, aimed at motivating non-verbal autistic children toward verbal engagement. Tested in small early trials; not clinical or diagnostic tools.
